The Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) has announced two job notifications for the hiring of 206 Urban Technical Officers and Financial Management Officers in the Department of Housing and Urban Affairs, Assam Government. Housing & Urban Affairs Hiring

1. Financial Management Officer (Junior Grade II):

Number of vacancies: 103 vacancies [General: 53, Other Backward Classes/More Other Backward Classes (OBC/MOBC): 28, Scheduled Caste (SC): 07, Scheduled Tribe Plains (STP): 10, Scheduled Tribe Hills (STH): 05]

Salary Range: Rs. 30,000/- to Rs. 1,10,000/- with Grade Pay of Rs. 12,700/-

Educational Qualification: Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com) from any recognized university.

2. Urban Technical Officer (Junior Grade III):

Number of vacancies: 103 vacancies [General: 53, Other Backward Classes/More Other Backward Classes (OBC/MOBC): 28, Scheduled Caste (SC): 07, Scheduled Tribe Plains (STP): 10, Scheduled Tribe Hills (STH): 05]

Salary Range: Rs. 30,000/- to Rs. 1,10,000/- with Grade Pay of Rs. 12,700/-

Educational Qualification: Candidates must have a full-time graduate degree in Engineering/Technology with specialization in Civil Engineering from any university/institution recognized by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).

Additional eligibility criteria for the Housing & Urban Affairs

Age Limit: Candidates should be at least 21 years old and not more than 38 years old as of January 1, 2023.

Age Relaxation: There is a relaxation in the upper age limit for certain categories, as mentioned below:

Scheduled Caste (SC): 5 years
Scheduled Tribe (ST): 5 years
Other Backward Classes/More Other Backward Classes (OBC/MOBC): 3 years
Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD): 10 years

Citizenship: Candidates must be Indian citizens as per the definition given in Articles 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India.

Residency:
(i) Candidates must be permanent residents of Assam.
(ii) As proof of residency, candidates can submit a Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC) issued in Assam for educational purposes, an Employment Exchange Registration certificate, or a Voter ID card of the candidate or their parents along with the application form.
