Eligibility Criteria for IBPS RRB Recruitment
Nationality/Citizenship:
- They must be a citizen of India.
- They can be a subject of Nepal.
- They can be a subject of Bhutan.
- They can be a Tibetan Refugee who arrived in India before January 1, 1962, with the intention of permanently settling in India.
- They can be a person of Indian origin who migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, or Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.If the candidate falls under categories (ii), (iii), (iv), or (v), they need to have a certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India to be considered eligible for the recruitment.
Language Knowledge and experience:
Applicants who are interested in applying for the position of Office Assistant in a specific Regional Rural Bank (RRB) must be able to communicate effectively in the local language of the State/Union Territory where the RRB is located. This language proficiency is necessary in order to be eligible for the interview process.
The age limit (as of June 1, 2023):
For the position of Office Assistant (Multipurpose):
Minimum age: 18 years
Maximum age: 28 years
Candidates must not have been born before June 2, 1995, and not later than June 1, 2005.
For the position of Officer Scale-I (Assistant Manager):

Age Relaxation:
Age relaxations provided for different categories, which are as follows:

Qualifications in Education:
Office Assistant (Multipurpose):
- Education: Possess a Bachelor's degree in any field from a recognized University or its equivalent.
- Language Proficiency: Have the ability to communicate effectively in the local language as specified by the participating Regional Rural Bank(s)*.
- Desirable Qualification: It is preferred to have a working knowledge of computers.
Officer Scale-I (Assistant Manager):
- Education: Possess a Bachelor's degree in any field from a recognized University or its equivalent. Candidates with a degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Science, Agricultural Engineering, Pisciculture, Agricultural Marketing and Cooperation, Information Technology, Management, Law, Economics, or Accountancy.
- Language Proficiency: Have the ability to communicate effectively in the local language as specified by the participating Regional Rural Bank(s)*.
- Desirable Qualification: It is beneficial to have a working knowledge of computers.
Officer Scale-II (General Banking Officer):
- Education: Hold a Bachelor's degree in any field from a recognized University or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate. Candidates with a degree in Banking, Finance, Marketing, Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Science, Agricultural Engineering, Pisciculture, Agricultural Marketing and Cooperation, Information Technology, Management, Law, Economics, or Accountancy will be given preference.
- Experience: Have a minimum of two years of experience working as an officer in a bank or financial institution.
Officer Scale-II (Information Technology):
- Education: Possess a Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Communication, Computer Science, Information Technology, or its equivalent from a recognized University with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks.
- Desirable Qualification: It is preferred to have certification in programming languages like ASP, PHP, C++, Java, VB, VC, OCP, etc.
- Experience: Have at least one year of experience in the relevant field.
Officer Scale-II (Chartered Accountant):
- Certification: Hold a Certified Associate (CA) qualification from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
- Experience: Have at least one year of experience working as a Chartered Accountant.
Officer Scale-II (Law):
- Education: Hold a degree in Law from a recognized University or its equivalent with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks.
- Experience: Have a minimum of two years of experience as an advocate or have worked as a Law Officer in banks or financial institutions for a period of not less than two years.
Officer Scale-II (Marketing):
- Education: Hold an MBA degree in Marketing from a recognized university.
- Experience: Have at least one year of experience in the relevant field.
Officer Scale-II (Treasury):
- Education: Possess either a Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification or an MBA degree in Finance from a recognized university or institution.
- Experience: Have at least one year of experience in the relevant field.
Officer Scale-II (Agriculture):
- Education: Hold a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, Dairy, Animal Husbandry, Forestry, Veterinary Science, Agricultural Engineering, Pisciculture, or a related field from a recognized university or its equivalent with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks.
- Experience: Have a minimum of two years of experience in the relevant field.
Officer Scale-III:
- Education: Possess a Bachelor's degree in any field from a recognized University or its equivalent with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks. Candidates with a degree or diploma in Banking, Finance, Marketing, Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Science, Agricultural Engineering, Pisciculture, Agricultural Marketing and Co-operation, Information Technology, Management, Law, Economics, or Accountancy will be given preference.
- Experience: Have a minimum of five years of experience working as an Officer in a bank or financial institution.
