Eligibility Criteria for Indian Air Force Recruitment

Age Limit: Candidates who were born between June 27th, 2003 and December 27th, 2006 (including both dates) are eligible to apply for Agniveer Vayu positions. If a candidate successfully completes all stages of the Selection Procedure, the maximum age limit at the time of enrollment is 21 years.

Educational Qualification:

For Science Subjects:

Candidates must have completed Intermediate/10+2/Equivalent examination with Mathematics, Physics, and English. The examination should be conducted by an Education Board recognized by Central, State, and UT. The candidate must have secured a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.

OR

Completion of a three-year Diploma Course in Engineering.(Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics/Automobile/Computer Science/Instrumentation Technology/Information Technology). The diploma course should be from a Polytechnic institute recognized by Central, State, and UT. The candidate must have obtained 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in the diploma course. If English is not a subject in the diploma course, the marks from Intermediate/Matriculation will be considered.

OR

Completion of a two-year Vocational Course with Physics and Maths as non-vocational subjects.
The Vocational Course should be from State Education Boards recognized by Central, State, and UT.
The candidate must have secured a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in the vocational course. If English is not a subject in the Vocational Course, marks from Intermediate/Matriculation will be considered.

For Other Than Science Subjects:

Candidates should have passed Intermediate/10+2/Equivalent examination in any subject approved by Education Boards recognized by Central, State, and UT. The candidate must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.

OR

Completion of a two-year vocational course from Education Boards recognized by Central, State, and UT. The candidate must have secured a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in the vocational course. If English is not a subject in the Vocational Course, marks from Intermediate/Matriculation will be considered.

Medical Standards

The mandatory medical standards for Agniveer Vayu are as follows:

Height: Male candidates must have a minimum height of 152.5 cms, and female candidates must have a minimum height of 152 cms.

Chest: The chest wall should be well proportioned, with a minimum range of expansion of 5 cms.

Weight: The weight should be proportionate to the height and age of the candidate.

Corneal Surgery (PRK/LASIK): Candidates who have undergone corneal surgery are not eligible. Visual requirements will be assessed according to the standards set by the Indian Air Force.

Hearing: Candidates should have normal hearing, which means they should be able to hear a forced whisper from a distance of 6 meters with each ear separately.

Dental: Candidates should have healthy gums, a good set of teeth, and a minimum of 14 dental points.

General Health: Candidates should have a normal anatomy without any loss of limbs or appendages. They should be free from any active or latent, acute or chronic, medical or surgical disability or infection, as well as skin ailments. Candidates should be physically and mentally fit to perform duties in any part of the world, in any climate and terrain.

Online Test for Agniveer Vayu Recruitment

Candidates who have applied for Agniveer Vayu posts will need to participate in an Online Test. Eligible candidates will receive provisional admit cards for Phase - I of the test via their registered email IDs between 48-72 hours before the examination. Candidates must download the admit card, take a color printout, and bring it to the examination center. The city name and exam date will be communicated to the candidates in advance to help them plan their travel.

Here are some important details about the examination:

Type of questions: Multiple-choice questions (Objective type)
Language of questions: The questions will be available in both English and Hindi, except for the English paper.
Marking pattern: Each correct answer will be awarded one mark.
Negative marking: For every incorrect answer, 0.25 marks will be deducted.
Candidates are required to bring a blue/black pen and their original AADHAAR card for Phase - I testing.

Physical Fitness Test (PFT)

The names of the candidates who pass the online test will be shown on the CASB Web Portal, which is https://agnipathvayu.cdac.in On a specified date, these candidates will be called to a designated ASC for the Physical Fitness Test (PFT), Adaptability Test-I, and Adaptability Test-II. The PFT has two parts, namely PFT-I and PFT-II.
