Salary: Rs.57,700/- to Rs.1,82,400/- per month (Academic level 10), along with other applicable allowances as per the rules.
Eligibility Criteria for MHRB Assam Recruitment
Age Limit: Candidates must be between 21 and 45 years of age as of 01/01/2023, regardless of their category (as per Government OM No.ABP.55/2023/25 dated 04/07/2023).
The upper age limit is relaxed by 10 years for Persons with Disabilities (PWD), irrespective of their category (SC/ST/OBC and General), as per the Government Notification No.ABP.144/95/121 dated 28/10/2015.
Educational Qualification:
Broad Speciality: For the following departments, candidates should have a postgraduate qualification of MD/MS/DNB in the relevant subject from an Indian university recognized by the National Medical Commission (previously MCI) or National Board of Education (NBE):
- Anaesthesiology
- Dermatology
- ENT (Ear, Nose, and Throat)
- Emergency Medicine
- Forensic Medicine (FSM)
- Medicine
- Microbiology
- Orthopaedics
- Ophthalmology
- Obstetrics and Gynecology (O&G)

- Psychiatry
- Pediatrics
- Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM & R)

=>For the Biochemistry Department, candidates should have a postgraduate qualification of MD (Biochemistry) or MSc (Medical Biochemistry) with a PhD in Medical Biochemistry.
=>For the Physiology Department, candidates should have a postgraduate qualification of MD (Physiology) or MSc (Medical Physiology) with a PhD in Medical Physiology.
Super Specialty:
- For Medical Super Specialty (Cardiology, Neurology, Endocrinology, Nephrology, Medical Oncology) Candidates should have a postgraduate qualification of MD/DNB in General Medicine.
- For Surgical Super Specialty (Plastic Surgery, Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery (CTVS), Neurosurgery, Urology, Pediatric Surgery) Candidates should have a postgraduate qualification of MS/DNB in General Surgery.
- Candidates who have completed DM/M.Ch./DNB in the respective super specialty subject will be given preference or additional weightage during the selection process.
Application Fee for MHRB Assam Recruitment
To apply for the recruitment, candidates need to submit the application along with the required application fee. The fee amount is Rs. 250/- for General category candidates and Rs. 150/- for OBC/MOBC/SC/ST (P)/ST (H) candidates.
Candidates with a PWD certificate are exempted from paying the application fee.
The application fee should be paid through Treasury Challan in the Head of Account "0210-Medical and Public Health-01-Urban Health Services-800-Other Receipt". Please note that the application fee is non-refundable, and no other payment method except Treasury Challan will be accepted.

Candidates can also deposit the fee online using the Government Receipt Accounting System-GRAS (Website: https://assamegras.gov.in). After the online payment, candidates should submit the printed copy of the Treasury Challan generated through GRAS along with the application form. In the Remarks column of the Challan, candidates should mention the post they are applying for.
